Mac "Brave" Lipstick *Review*
It’s time that I admit something to you all... I am now a
lipstickholic. The last few weeks I have brought so many new lipsticks as well
as lip products that it’s frightening! But what’s more alarming is that I’m
going London soon and Mac is giving the university students 35% off for the
day! Might as well increase my overdraft already.
With that being said, I’m writing this blog post about my
new addition to my Mac lipstick collection. Say hello to ‘Brave’. I’d been eying up this bad boy for quite some time and
when I found out I had to do a 60s inspired make-up look at uni then it was
only right to finally buy this lipstick. I mean it would have been wrong of me
not to have brought it when I needed it to create my 60s look (so I kept
telling myself).
However, I am so happy I did buy it. It’s such a unique
lipstick in my eyes because it looks different on everyone. Sometime it can
look more brownish depending on your skin tone or even lilac again depending on
your skin tone. It’s a satin lipstick which means it’s not matte and you won’t
need to worry about it getting patchy and dry. It’s such a versatile lipstick
which I believe any lipstick lover should have in their lipstick collection; especially
if you’re not into bold, statement lips.
This lipstick can easily been worn in daytime with just a
simple cat eye flick or go full out with a smoky eye, false lashes for a night
out. Told you this lipstick’s versatile!
What do you lipstick lovers think? You ever tried ‘Brave’? Let me know
what other lipsticks you think I should try!

October Skin Care Favourites!
After looking back at all the posts I’ve posted in the past,
I’ve realised that I’ve never posted anything like a monthly favourites or skin
care favourites. The reason why I haven’t is because I’ve always done a monthly
favourites on my Youtube channel but I’ve decided that every month, I’m going
to pick 3 products which I’ve spoke about in my monthly favourites and do an in-depth review about them on my blog!
Starting now! So if you’d like to see more of this kind of blog post them make
sure you leave a comment, letting me know.
The three products which I will be expressing my love for last
month (October) are all skin care products. I said in my October favourites
video on my channel that October was all about me trying to get better skin
which meant trying new skin care products from cleansers, toners, face masks
and even make-up removal products. As well as trying new products to help reduce
my blemishes and redness I also made sure I’ve bee
n eating a lot more fruit/veg
by drinking smoothies!
Super Facialist by
Una Brennan (Neroli Firming Daily Brightening Cleanser)
I know, a bit of a mouthful to say, but so worth it. This
cleanser is perfect for people who have sensitive skin (like me) because it
gently removes make-up without you having to scrub your face vigorously. For me
this product have been perfect as it’s really brightened up my face (because
the weather is dull doesn’t mean your face has to as well). It’s also combined
with Hyaluronic Acid which is known for hydrating the skin. Can easily be
brought from Boots for £8 or if you’re lucky then try TKMax because I managed
to buy mine for £4!
Soap & Glory (No
Clogs Allowed Face Mask)
Easily one of the best face masks I’ve tried in a long time.
Like I said in my October Favourites video, it’s a self heating, deep pore,
detox mask which helps unclog your pours and helps remove excess dirt and oil.
I’ve never normally been a fan of face masks which self heat because I always
find them uncomfortable on my face because they seem to just get hotter and
hotter. However, this face mask it gets to a certain warm temperature and just
stays at that warmth. After washing the face mask off your face is left feeling
smooth and clean (what more can you want from a face mask?).
Clinique Anti-blemish
Solutions (Clarifying lotion)
I might have mentioned about this toner in one of my older
videos but last month I went to John Lewis and decided to repurchase this toner
on the Clinique counter for £18. I remember when I started getting into skin
care and realising that high quality toners weren’t as cheap as I would have
liked but now I’ve come to the conclusion that when it comes to skin care
sometimes you just have to spend a little bit more if you want better skin. I
mean it is your skin after all and we really should look after it. So this
toner isn’t cheap. However, it does work!
Don't forget to leave a comment telling me what you guys think!! Also it would be amazing if you could give it a share and maybe a follow!

Halloween 2014!
I’ll start by saying I hope you all had a great Halloween this
year! This year for me was the first time I actually decided to make an effort.
So of course I decided to go with one of the gayest costumes you could go out
as which was a bunny rabbit! But since it was Halloween it wasn’t acceptable to
just go as a seductive bunny so it wasn’t long before I decided a zombie bunny
would work.
So after looking online for some bunny ears and a tail I came
across a great deal which was for the ears, tail and a bow tie for £4. After
seeing that I get a bow tie with the ears and tail I was sold; let alone how
cheap it was.
The next thing I needed was a dark red make-up product for
under the eye (since I had to make the costume a bit scarier and not utterly sexy).
My friend recommended Mac Cranberry eye shadow but after looking at it, it wasn’t
the right colour. I then started talking to one of the Mac girls (happened to
be one of the nicest beauty counter girls I’ve spoke to) and she showed me a
blusher called ‘Fever’ and it was exactly what I was looking for!
I got some cheap black jeans from Primark and did a bit of
DIY by cutting them (weren’t short enough so rolled them up as well) and
getting a white shirt from Topman in the sale for £8 pounds and made some rips
to show of some more flesh ;))
What did you guys go as for Halloween? Leave a comment and
let me know; also don’t forget to follow my blog which you can do in the top
right corner and maybe give it a share :D

Going Through A Breakup
Like I said I’m no expect. I’ve been in 1 serious
relationship but I’ve also managed to really like a few other guys and could
have seen myself falling for them but then I ended up getting hurt but now looking back I’ve learnt a lot. I’ve
learnt about the things I did wrong and what I shouldn’t have done, however, I’ve
also remembered that I did things right! Relationships are a bit like exams;
you can’t get everything right (or less your just stupidly smart) but the more
times you revise and work hard the more questions you’ll get right, and that’s the
same when it comes to relationships. The more you go on dates, meet new people
the more you realise the things you’re doing wrong but also the things your
doing right.
After coming out of a relationship you don’t really know
what you want, and that’s okay. Of course you’re not going to know what you
want, you’ve been with somebody (probably in love), depending on them, putting
there needs before yours, thinking as long as you’ve got that person by your
side; you can take on the world. As time goes on you heal and you realise life
goes on. When you’ve cared about someone a lot you never do truly forget them,
there’s always going to be something every so often that reminds you of that
person and that’s normal. Even if you ended on bad terms I’m sure there were times when you were happy and those times are the times you need to remember,
so why would you want to forget them?
Like I wrote earlier after a break up you don’t really know
what you want or what to do, but you do notice that your life isn’t the same
anymore and that’s what’s going to push you and help you move on. No matter if you’re
ready or not, life continues and there’s nothing you can do so you’ve got no
choice but to pick yourself up and carry on.
A lot of people only see breaking up as a bad thing. Yes,
breaking up isn’t the nicest thing because you’ve got so use to how things are
and depending on your partner and lets not forget you've probably just had your heart broken (which no matter how much ice cream you eat it doesn't really help). However, I’ve learnt positive things do come out
of breaking up with someone, I look at it like it’s the world telling you it’s
your time to grow as a person and life is taking you on a different path (deep
& cheesy I know but that’s how I see it).
One thing you shouldn’t do is regret being in that
relationship. Look at it like this, if you weren’t in that relationship you
might have not turned out to be the person you are today and you might have
made different choices and ended up taking your life down a different path. Or your partner helped kicked started turning your dreams into reality etc. One quote which is so true...
"No relationship is ever a waste of time. If it didn't bring you what you want, it taught you what you don't want."
The last thing I will say is everything happens for a
reason. You might have thought you found the one, and you might be heartbroken
or going through a breakup right now but in the long run your realise that it
wasn’t meant to be and you'll finally be able to move on and start the next
chapter of your life (GAY! I know).
It would mean so much if you haven’t already to follow my
blog which you can do in the top right hand corner!

Topman Haul! *Work Clothes*
A few days ago I decided to go Topman and buy some new
clothes especially to wear for work. I was determined to stay away from buying
baggy jumpers and warm clothes because my work get’s so hot that wearing
anything more than a t-shirt or a short sleeve shirt I’d end up sweating like a
pig (not attractive!).
The first and only shirt I brought was nothing out of my comfort
zone, I mean I love my bright floral prints but because we’re going into the
colder seasons, I don’t think it’s suitable for me to be wearing tropical,
bright colours when all it does in the UK is rain! So I was lucky enough to
find this shirt which is still bold, covered in floral prints but the colour palette
is perfect for this time of year.
The next thing I brought was a baggy t-shirt which kind of
reminds me of a tie-dyed acid inspired design. I’ve never been a fan of
tie-dyed t-shirts which is really weird because I literally love anything which
has anything to do with the whole vintage feel. I love the mix between the
black and the bloody red which just reminds me of old school Gothic vibe.
Third thing I brought was a dark grey baggy t-shirt with
random placed white dots, which kind of remind me of a galaxy inspired
print. Easy to throw on with some black skinnies and ready to go! I also like
the fact that the sleeves are rolled up just to give it more of an effortless
look.
I never use to like the whole American, sporty jersey tops
but suddenly I’ve took an interest in them! I picked up a black one (of course
it had to be black) with just some simple stripes across the arm and typography
across the front. I like the way this top looks on me how it’s baggy but it
doesn’t drown me. Another reason why I’m so pleased with this top is because it’s
so soft and so versatile you can easily undo it and have it as an over top (thin
jacket) with a vest/white t-shirt underneath it.
I kept telling myself to stay away from the knitwear but
then I saw this turtleneck and literally couldn’t help myself. I think every
time autumn comes around I just get drawn to turtlenecks. I love the fact that
it’s so soft and it’s not skin tight but not extremely baggy at the same time.
It’s so easy to dress up or down as well which is always a good thing.

Candle Lover!
So let me just start by saying if you’re a candle lover then
you need to get down to Primark and stock up on one of their new Christmas scented
candles
which is cinnamon and maple. This scented candle has easily become one
of my favourite candles to burn, after burning the candle for the first time,
the next day I went back and brought another two!
I’ve personally never been the biggest fan of cinnamon
(maybe it was ever since I did the cinnamon challenge…) I always find with
cinnamon scented things that the aroma is too overwhelming for my liking but
with this candle the balance is perfect and just screams winter at me.
I’ve been loving burning these candles whilst snuggled in
bed watching Ugly Betty (Yes, somehow I’ve gotten back into it, shuuush!) and
whilst they smell amazing, they also look cute as well and really do start
getting you in the mood for the big season! However, the biggest thing I need
to mention is that the candles don’t even cost £1 each…yes…let that just hit
you; they cost 80p per candle! Enough said in my eyes!
Have you tried these
candles before? What’s your favourite winter candle?

Brown! Brown! Brown! *Lip Products*
So they’ve been no secret that the whole brown lip is one of
the most talked about high street make-up trend which has kicked off in the
last few months. You may ask why all of a sudden everyone is going back to the
fuller dark browns. Well does this name ring a bell…Kylie Jenner?
Yes, Kylie Jenner (part of the Kardashian family) has
started a whole new trend this season which is all about the lip lined lips and
the matte brown lipsticks! This whole new make-up trend came to my attention
when I decided to take a visit to Mac, when I got to Mac I fancied buying a
brown lipstick to add to my collection and every time I asked one of the staff
can I have this lipstick they would turn around and say “sorry, sold out ”. One
of the staff explained it was because everyone wanted the ‘Kylie Jenner look’.
After finally getting a brown lipstick (Mac – Spirit). I decided
to blog about my top 3 lip products which work together to create such a
stunning, sexy brown lip or work perfectly just on their own.
(From left to right)
Lip liner – Latte by I.O.U
Lipstick – Satin, Spirit by Mac
Lip-gloss – Rose Gold by Revlon
What do you guys think about the whole Kylie Jenner look? Love it or hate it? Leave a comment or tweet me @ryanpaynesworld to let me know!

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Oil Free *Review*

There’s so many great qualities, why I love this tinted moisturizer,
even though it’s a tinted moisturizer it gives of amazing coverage and really
does even your skin tone. I love the fact that it’s so light and makes your
skin look fresh and gives you a natural, healthy glow but most of all looks
like you’re not wearing any make-up at all! It might be on the more pricey side
of tinted moisturizers but it’s worth every penny in my eyes (£27).
When I first started using this tinted moisturizer I wasn’t
the biggest fan because I wasn’t use to using my fingers when applying my
foundation. However, after a few days of using my fingers I finally got use to it. To make sure it was fully buffed into my skin after blending the product with
my fingers I get a small brush and just buff my face and neck to make
sure it’s all blended.
I love how easy it blends and even using a small amount it
really does go along way! It's quite buildable; usually I add a little bit more
around my chin to cover the redness. This product is perfect to cover mild acne
scars and redness around the face. Another reason why I’m obsessed with this
product is because it doesn't crease especially on the drier areas like the
under eye area.
What do you guys think? Have you tried this product? Leave a
comment or tweet me @ryanpaynesworld

New Channel!!
So I don’t actually know what’s been going on the last few
weeks, I feel like I’ve lost a lot of motivation from blogging to filming
Youtube videos but I’ve just started getting back into it and enjoying doing
what I use to love to do! So I’ve finally started my second year at uni, which
means I need to plan my time a lot wiser. That being said I’m really excited to
announce I’ve started a new channel which is all about Drag and Sylvia Blow (me
in drag). This channel is just a light hearted, funny channel expressing a
different side to me. I was going to add this to my main channel but decided to
just create a new channel. Apart from just having random vlogs, there will also
be drag transformations and drag make-up looks which I’m really excited about!
So if you would like to go and check out my second channel
the link is below and it would be amazing if you could subscribe!

St-Ives St Ives Blemish Fighting Facial Scrub *Review*

Well after using this scrub for more than 3 weeks now, I’ve
noticed such a different when it comes to my skin. My redness has gone down a lot;
I’m also not getting any nasty red spots or new blemishes anymore! This facial
scrub is perfect for all skin types which suffer from blemishes no matter if
you’ve got oily, sensitive skin etc.
Another reason why I’m loving this scrub is the fact that it’s
got 100% natural extracts which means you’re not putting any harmful chemicals
onto your face that could lead to damage of the skin such as making your skin
more sensitive or causing redness.
Apart from all that goodness, another reason why you realSuperdrug or £3.99 in Boots. It’s also been rated UK’s no.1 scrub brand so
St Ives must be doing something right!
ly
should try this product is because you haven’t got anything to lose! It’s £1.99

Rimmel Kate Moss Collection *Lipstick Review*
Well anyway I love this lipstick and cannot wait to use it
in a photo shoot. However, I have to say it’s a different colour than what I
thought but still it’s such a stunning colour and I haven’t seen another
lipstick which looks like this in such a long time! It comes across a metallic lilac
but when I applied it, it came out more pinky purple with a hint of gold
metallic undertones. Which I have to say really impressed me!
So have you tired this lipstick before? What are your
thoughts? Tweet me @ryanpaynesworld or leave a comment letting me know!

Starbucks Catch-up OOTD!!
I haven't done an ootd in such a long time and I know that the last outfit
of the day was a success so I thought it was about time I blogged another one!
I'm going to be trying to do a lot more outfit of the days, so if you like me blogging
what I’m wearing then don’t forget to tell me either by leaving a comment or Tweet
me @ryanpaynesworld
Since taking two weeks of work I decided to go home for one week to see my
family and my old friends and went for a catch up with one of my girlies who I
haven't seen in nearly 5 months! So clearly we needed to have a little gossip
about guys and our love lives ;)
I decided I wanted to wear all black with a touch of print. I wore my vintage jacket over my black baggy t-shirt from H&M with my Topman Black skinny jeans. To give my outfit a little bit of an edge I decided to wear a chunky black and white chain which was in the sale for £3 at Topman! My shoes are fake Doc Martins but shuush don't tell, which I got from a local shoe shop a long time ago! So that completes my outfit. A simple but timelessly chic outfit, I mean how can you go wrong with wearing black?

Being Gay Isn't A Choice!
Okay, so about a week ago a subscriber of mine wrote me a
comment about her friend thinking being gay is a choice - a lifestyle. This
then got me thinking… Do people actually think being gay is a choice? We choose
to get bullied, hated and even physically assaulted just because of our
sexuality and it comes down to us choosing that ‘lifestyle’. Who the hell would
pick a lifestyle when it involves being bullied physically and mentally? Who
would pick a lifestyle when it involves losing your family and feeling isolated
from everyone around you?
No. We can’t help finding the same sex attracted. We can’t
help falling in love with the same sex. We can’t help being gay.
Personally it makes me angry and upset, the fact other
humans can be so stupid and believe our sexuality is a choice and we can choose
it. Let me ask every single straight person…
When did you decide to be straight?
Well let me tell you. You didn’t. I find it insulting how
some people have the nerve to question someone’s sexuality. Why does it affect
you? Does it bother you that much to know why they’re gay?
Well let me just tell you this. Instead of questioning someone’s
sexuality (which has nothing to do with you) maybe focus on your own life.
If you’re interested about watching my opinion in more
detail then don’t forget to check out my video. You can also tweet me your
thoughts about this topic @ryanpaynesworld

Revlon PhotoReady Powder Foundation *Review*
It's been a while since I last did a beauty review so I
wanted to start by saying I’ve found a cheaper powder foundation which
personally seems to last longer overall and also stays on a lot longer! Win - win
situation! I thought I’d never be able to find a better powder foundation than
The Body Shop one but after trying many powder foundations I came across Revlon
PhotoReady Powder Foundation. I’ve never been a big fan of Revlon’s make-up but
this foundation is amazing!
It’s perfect if you like wearing BB/CC cream or if you don’t
like to wear a lot of make-up. However, if you’re having a break out or if you
like more coverage it’s so easy to build up and buff into your skin for a full
coverage without it looking cakie or patchy!
I recommend people that don’t like to spend hours doing
their make-up or if you’re in a rush to work, college etc to try this
foundation out. If you’re on a budget and can’t afford expensive foundation
then for £11 pounds (Superdrug) you can’t really beat it!
What do you guys think about this powder foundation? Leave a
comment and let me know or you can tweet me @ryanpaynesworld

Sorry Guys + New Hair!
So before I even try and worm my way out of giving you guys
plenty of reasons why I suddenly stopped blogging and updating every week. Let
me just say I’m sat here on my laptop drinking the best freaking mint hot
chocolate ever! However, on more important news… I’M BACK!! WITH LILAC HAIR!!!!
Leave a comment telling me if you like my hair lilac or not
:D
So with all that out of the way, I feel like I own you guys
an explanation why I suddenly stopped. One of the reasons why I stopped
blogging was my whole world kind of changed (gay as it sounds its true)! Which
anyone who followers me on Facebook or watches my Youtube videos will have a
good guess as why it all changed.
After all the drama which happened I kind of lost myself and
forgot about what I loved doing and lost all my motivation and passion as well.
Another reason why I suddenly stopped was because I just moved house which was
stressful and I really hope to never move house EVER AGAIN!!
So yeah, those are some of my reasons why I stopped
blogging, but like I said earlier, I’m back and I’ve got so many lovely
products which some of you who watch my YouTube channel (ryanpaynesworld) will
have seen but what I love about blogging is I can really go into detail about
each product and give you my thorough opinion and the fact some of these
products I believe everyone should try! Apart from that, I also want to do many
more OOTD posts, as I seem to get asked a lot on Youtube where I got a certain
shirt, necklace etc and just seems perfect to tie that in with my blog :D
That is everything I guess. So make sure you follow and look
out for a new post in the next week!

The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil *Review*

Apart from being a life saver when it comes to reducing the size of spots, the Tea Tree Oil is also good for many different things such as if you've got dandruff or an irritable scalp then mixing a few drops into your shampoo can smooth your scalp and help get rid of your dandruff. Another way you can use the Tea Tree Oil is by using it to clean your facial pores by steaming some water in a bowl and adding a few drops and sit back and relax!
There's so many different ways you can use The Body Shop - Tea Tree Oil, if you're looking for other ways to get the most out of yours, then Google is the place to go.

Outfit Of The Day - Working The Blazer!
This whole look is to show of my more classy style but still chic and fun, I paired the blazer (Topman) with a leather t-shirt (Topman) to match the blazer's collar. I didn't want to wear black jeans because I felt like the outfit would have had to much black in it, so I decided to pair my favourite (only pair of blue jeans I actually like) with it. To give the outfit a pop of colour I also wore my gold necklace and of course all my rings.
I made sure the blazer didn't look out of place with the rest of the outfit by matching the materials up (leather collar with leather t-shirt).
What do you guys think? Do you like the outfit? Don't forget you can always tweet me @ryanpaynesworld
